Sunday in Lake Oswego, Down Syndrome Network of Oregon, hosted by Providence Children's Health brought us the Buddy Walk. This event celebrates our loved ones with Down Syndrome and is their only fundraiser, enabling them to provide the services and support that they offer to families.

Their goal is to raise $100,000 to bring more services to the community. As well this is a great way for them to share awareness of what Down Syndrome is and how those with Down Syndrome are just as special as any one else. Here is a link if you'd like to donate, Buddy Walk.

There is also a great organization Gigi's Playhouse. Gigi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center's mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and community. A special friend of ours Kymberlee Lake is working on bringing a chapter to the Portland area. She is an amazing woman and has done so much that I wanted to give her recognition for all the work she does for our community.

Here are some of the pictures from the event, my two little kids enjoyed their time dancing and playing with the other kids.

Staying active for anyone by working out, exercise, managing weight, can be a huge benefit, that's why events that are focused on the health of everyone are so empowering and so beneficial.  Thanks for having us.
